Web Counter

Before adding counters to your site, you first need to install the counter script. This is easily done by choosing the Page Counter option from the Script Manager menu in <kbl=7>ServerTools</a>.

Once you've installed the counter script, you can add a counter to any page on your site by simply putting the following on the page where you want the counter to appear:

<!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/counters/counter.cgi"-->

The above HTML tag must be all on one line (depending on your browser, the above may have wrapped).

After adding a counter to a page, you must then visit the page using your browser. The counter will only initialize itself upon your first visit, but it will not show up. Hit "Refresh" (or "Reload") on your browser twice and it will start counting.

That's all there is to it, this will create a count file in your cgi-bin/counters/ directory for each page the call is placed on so that each page can have it's own individual counter.
